Pirate Day at school

Last week was Pirate Week at Brynnie's school...Friday was "dress up like a pirate" day so we got creative. She loved her bracelets most of all.

Trip to Philadelphia: Franklin Park & Penn's Landing

On our last day of our stay in Philly, we took Brynnie to Franklin Park in the morning and then later we all went down to Penn's Landing for a Kids Festival.

Cool city kid.

The 3rd day in a row on a carousel!

Monkey bars for the first time ever.

Cute close-up.

Penn's Landing.

Trip to Philadelphia: 4th of July

For the 4th of July, we went to the Touch Museum (Philly's children's museum) in the morning and then to a Festival on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the afternoon.

The Touch Museum was fantastic...much better than Boston's Children's Museum! We all had a lot of fun and because we were there when the doors opened, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We saw every room, tried every game, made arts + crafts, and rode another carousel.

Red, white and blue!

Driving a race car.

Taking orders at McDonald's.

Grocery shopping.
Grocery store check-out (the scanner really works!)

Changing a diaper in the maternity ward.

Playing with the big dollhouse.

Riding the carousel. (Carousel #2 of the weekend)

WHOA over the water games!

"Playing" the piano from the movie BIG.

Their favorite: driving and riding the bus.
(Brynnie is obsessed with busses...she finally got to ride one!)

Driving daddy.
At the 4th of July Festival, Brynnie & ZZ got to test out the bouncie rides and eat a lot of food! We didn't last for the fireworks - they went off way past bedtime.

She climbed up there all by herself after going through an obstacle course with ZZ!

Dancing.

Brynnie loves to eat...even HUGE pretzels!

Trip to Philadelphia: Philadelphia Zoo

We went down to stay with Bethie and Zion for the 4th of July weekend. The two cousins had a great time together! They loved running around Bethie's cool loft, holding hands walking around the city, seeing the sights, and playing together everywhere.

Here are pictures from our day at the Philadelphia Zoo - America's first zoo!

Brynnie's reaction to seeing the pandas.

Mark & ZZ riding George the camel.

Riding the train.

Riding the carousel together - Brynnie wasn't afraid this time!

The gorilla came across his area to our corner...very close!

Brynnie & ZZ loving the penguins.

Cousins running!

Water fountain.

After naps that afternoon, we went to a park to play. Is Brynnie going to be a quarterback? She wouldn't put the football down!
