Trip to Maine

Sara and Jon joined us for a few days of summer fun in Maine this past week.

The weather was great and we took advantage of it by spending time out on the boat tubing and water skiing. Brynnie also went tubing - she loved it so much she went more than once!

Brynnie is ready!

Brynn turns TWO!

Today we celebrated Brynn's second birthday at the beach. She LOVES the beach so we figured it would be the perfect way to spend her special day.

We were up at Wingearsheek when they opened...and Brynnie went running right into the water as soon as we got there. And she didn't come out until we left after lunch.
It was a great birthday!!

You don't need much more than the beach and a dump truck...

Watching the remote control truck an old man ran around with.

New wheels! Learning how to drive...Barbie Jeep style.

Safety first: helmet and seat belt.

Brynnie gets TWO birthday parties

The day before her birthday, Brynnie celebrated with friends and family at two birthday parties. She had a lot of fun at both...and enjoyed her two birthday cakes - and singing "Happy Birthday" along with everyone!!

Her princess birthday cake.

Got her tatoo on her hand, waiting for her friends
to arrive to the party (party #1).

Obstacle course fun.

Stretching before dancing.

Wet from water play...waiting to go into the last room for cake!

The ballpit is always fun.

Party #2 - eating dinner with ZZ.

Martha's Vineyard

We were in Martha's Vineyard this weekend and Brynnie loved it.

She was excited for the car ride to the Cape, her first bus ride (from the parking lot to the ferry) was a THRILL since she loves busses, the ferry was a lot of fun, and then the island stay was the perfect touch to the exciting travelling!

She had a blast running through Ron & Cheryl's house and yard...the beach was so much fun. She got over the cold water and loved playing in the huge waves. A great weekend vacation!

Waiting for the ferry and watching people play hackeysack.

First ice cream cone.

Dump truck on the beach - check out all of the tire tracks.

Trip to Philadelphia: Franklin Park & Penn's Landing

On our last day of our stay in Philly, we took Brynnie to Franklin Park in the morning and then later we all went down to Penn's Landing for a Kids Festival.

Cool city kid.

The 3rd day in a row on a carousel!

Monkey bars for the first time ever.

Cute close-up.

Penn's Landing.

Trip to Philadelphia: 4th of July

For the 4th of July, we went to the Touch Museum (Philly's children's museum) in the morning and then to a Festival on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the afternoon.

The Touch Museum was fantastic...much better than Boston's Children's Museum! We all had a lot of fun and because we were there when the doors opened, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We saw every room, tried every game, made arts + crafts, and rode another carousel.

Red, white and blue!

Driving a race car.

Taking orders at McDonald's.

Grocery shopping.
Grocery store check-out (the scanner really works!)

Changing a diaper in the maternity ward.

Playing with the big dollhouse.

Riding the carousel. (Carousel #2 of the weekend)

WHOA over the water games!

"Playing" the piano from the movie BIG.

Their favorite: driving and riding the bus.
(Brynnie is obsessed with busses...she finally got to ride one!)

Driving daddy.
At the 4th of July Festival, Brynnie & ZZ got to test out the bouncie rides and eat a lot of food! We didn't last for the fireworks - they went off way past bedtime.

She climbed up there all by herself after going through an obstacle course with ZZ!

Dancing.

Brynnie loves to eat...even HUGE pretzels!
