Baby Steps

For the past few days Brynnie has been tentatively taking a few steps and then retreating to knee walking. She is always VERY proud of herself when she is walking. She is very steady on her feet, she just needs the confidence to walk more.

This is our last weekend in Newton so today Brynn enjoyed some time at Cabot Park. We will miss having it right across the street! However that is where she took her first steps, so we will always remember it fondly.

Brynn has cut her 7th tooth and we can see the 8th one ready to pop through...

The Birthday Girl!

Brynnie turned one yesterday...she had a great day.

She was finally able to sit facing forward in her car seat which seemed to be a big hit. She had a great time at her party. Other than the birthday hat she HATED (see picture for evidence of that). She had her own cupcake but didn't get too excited about it. She apparently doesn't (yet) have the sweet tooth both of her parents have! She went swimming after stripping down from her party dress which was covered in frosting. And she received a lot of fun gifts!

Amazing how quickly a year passes....

Luau Girl birthday cake

Only big kids get to face forward in their car seats...do you
like my teeth?

My shirt says it all.

Ready for my party in my party dress.

This is what we call "knee walking" - Brynnie's favorite
way to get around.

I hate this birthday hat that mommy and daddy had so
much fun picking out. But the tricked out highchair is cool.

Not sure how I feel about this frosting...
but it's better than that birthday hat!

Post cupcake feast, I'm stripped down to my
skivvies.

The big girl

Brynnie knows how to turn it on for the camera...as soon as I picked up the camera, she gave me this cute smile.

She prefers to be on her feet even though she isn't walking. Here is she checking out her shelves in the kitchen. (And yes, she is also making her presence known at the same time...a quick yell takes care of that.)

Punk Baby

Check out Brynnie with her mohawk in the bath! She loves bathtime - eating the bubbles, splashing, shimmying from one end of the tub to the other by bouncing on her knees...it's always a lot of fun.

Brynn also had her friend Libby (Brynn is older by 5 days - Libby was her first friend) over for a playdate. They weren't the greatest at sharing but did have fun together.

Brynn is now standing all of the time, walking while holding on to our hands, and standing without holding on to anything for a few seconds.

The eleventh month!

Believe or not...Brynn is eleven months old now.

She is "cruising" - walking along the couch, from table to table - the whole time holding on to something. She is doing A LOT of dancing lately, whether it is to music coming from one of her toys, from the radio, or her parents singing (not well of course). She loves to eat just about anything you put in front of her.

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. She loves her rocking chair...she gets excited to sit in it but then stays for about two seconds. : )

Cousins and Italians

This weekend Brynnie got to spend a lot of time with her cousin, Zion (and her stalker Aunt Bethie). They played with toys, in the pool, in the yard, and on the swing. She was coming off of a tough week - she had her first virus and spent most of the week at home with a fever. But she was back to herself by today.

Today we went into the North End. Bova's gave Brynnie a special cookie, which you can see that she loved. We also go to see Brynn's favorite LA girl - Jana - before she flew back to the west coast.

Thanks for my cuuuute dress, Jayne!

ZZ in the tunnel.

Not sure if I should go through the tunnel.

Getting some air on the swing.

YUMMY Italian cookie!

4th of July

We went to the Hingham 4th of July parade...Brynn's first parade. She had fun because there was so much to look at (people, floats, bands, and kids shoving each other for the candy being thrown!).
Check out a few pictures of our patriotic baby.
